Hinge Creative Arts District
Hinge Creative Arts District - Downtown + Hinge Area
The Ralston Hinge Creative District became a certified Creative District through the Nebraska Arts Council in 2024. The District is planning its inaugural 'Plein Aire' event in September 2026, hosting artists from across Nebraska and country to engage in painting scenes around Ralston and the Omaha-Metro. 'Plein Aire' is a French term for 'in the open air'. During such an event, artists paint scenes from nature, allowing them to capture the essence of the scene. The event will engage the public, provide educational programming, and opportunities for visitors to purchase art by renowned artists.
If you are interested in helping to bring this artistic event to Ralston, please consider a donation! Donations through REDC are tax-deductible.

Pivot at the Hinge
Pivot at the Hinge - 75th and Main Streets
Pivot at the Hinge will be developed where Hillcrest Landing currently is. It will be a mixed-use, market-rate development including 293 new 1-bedroom, 2-bedroom, and townhome units as well as roughly 2,500 square feet of rentable commercial retail space. The structure will have plenty of parking for both residents and patrons of businesses. First move-ins are planned for late 2027 with the project's completion in early-to-mid 2028.
Please contact the REDC if you are interested in establishing a business in the new commercial retail space.
